today we're talking drag setups
you've heard us use the terms beadlock
radial skinnies
and you're stuck wondering WTF we're talking about
let's break it down
first up
what makes a good drag setup
the goal here is to reduce unsprung weight
that's weight not supported by the suspension
like wheels and tires
while simultaneously increasing traction
we do this with a couple of components
first up the Grip Reapers
those big old Mickey Thompsons
the MT et Street Series are drag radials
that use a soft compound to increase traction
when heated to the proper temperature
pair them with MT skinnies for the front
and you're set
for wheels you've got a couple of choices
the budget friendly option here is the ForgeStar D5
which comes in beadlock and non beadlock
if you want to step it up a bit
throw on a set of welds
