⑥ More information on the locations I've visited in this video:
▶ Elbbrücken station (from Wikipedia)
Elbbrücken station (Elbe bridges station) is a public transit terminal station in Hamburg, Germany, near the railway and road bridges called Elbbrücken leading over the Norderelbe. It consists of two elevated stops, one for the Hamburg U-Bahn underground which opened in 2018, and one for the Hamburg S-Bahn suburban trains which opened a year later. Each stop has two tracks, interlinked by a "skywalk". The station is the terminus of the U4 U-Bahn line and is between Hammerbrook and Veddel on the S3/S31 S-Bahn lines. It was built to provide easier access to the new HafenCity quarter of Hamburg from the south.
▶ Hafencity University station (from Wikipedia)
HafenCity Universität is a rapid transit station on line U4 of the Hamburg U-Bahn network in the district of HafenCity in central Hamburg, Germany. The station is named after the nearby HafenCity University.
The station was designed by Munich-based architecture firm Raupach Architekten.[1] The design makes reference to the changing colors typical to the HafenCity, caused by reflections throughout the day by the wharf buildings' red brick and the ship hulls' iron and steel.
HafenCity Universität served as the terminus station of line U4 from its opening until the U4 was extended one station further eastwards to Elbbrücken on 7 December 2018.
▶ Lohsepark (translated from Wikipedia)
The Lohsepark is the largest green area inside Hafencity district in Hamburg, Germany. It is situated between Ericusgraben and Baakenhafen and is named after Hermann Lohse (1815-1893).
The 44,000m² large park was constructed on the railway tracks of the former Hannover Train Station in Hamburg and has several monuments dedicated to this station, as well as to the victims of national socialism (1940-1945), specifically those of Jews, Sinti and Roma. Via trains departing from the former Hannover Train Station, these peoples got deported to concentration camps.
Todays Lohsepark is home of over 500 trees from 20 different species, as well as a skatepark, a football field and a basketball court.
▶ Speicherstadt (from Wikipedia)
The Speicherstadt in Hamburg, Germany is the largest warehouse district in the world where the buildings stand on timber-pile foundations, oak logs, in this particular case. It is located in the port of Hamburg—within the HafenCity quarter—and was built from 1883 to 1927.
The district was built as a free zone to transfer goods without paying customs. As of 2009, both the district and the surrounding area are under redevelopment. As the first site in Hamburg, it was awarded the status of UNESCO World Heritage Site on 5 July 2015.
The Speicherstadt is known for its abundance of photogenic spots, many of which you will find on postcards and flyers.
▶ Überseeboulevard (translated from [ Ссылка ])
With its 300m long, charming shopping street between Speicherstadt and river Elbe, Überseeboulevard is THE central shopping street in Hafencity district in Hamburg, Germany. A variety of shops await you here, from nice and cozy cafes over classy, comfortable restaurants, supermarkets and drug stores to boutiques.
Special about the Überseeboulevard is its gallery of pictures on little walls, situated all over the boulevard. The photos vary seasonally.
