On thisanniversary, we remember Piper Bill Millin who was among the first waves of soldiers to bravely storm the beach at Sword Beach, playing his bagpipes to inspire troops as he walked. Amazingly, some Germans reportedly didn't shoot him, believing he was the Angel of Death!
