While French citizens and other foreigners flee the increasing
ethnic violence in Burundi for safety in Europe, Burundi's Hutu
population fear for their lives. Hutu refugees from across the
country have gathered in Bujumbura, crammed into various
accomodation, or staying with friends and family. Some Hutus are
envious and resentful of the foreigners who can leave when they
want. On Tuesday (28/3) Hutus, who refused to be identified, said
that while the Europeans could leave, the Hutus had nowhere to go.
