When starting to play shakuhachi it is not enough to just do technical exercises – the technical skills have to be brought together and practiced by playing music, because all these skills are interdependent. In this video I am presenting progression of simple exercise pieces that then lead to playing the first full piece (Hinomaru no hata – 日の丸の旗). The scores will be available in my shakuhachi playing guide that I am writing for my supporters on Patreon.
