#Cataulacus are beautiful arboreal #ants that are often confused with the turtle ants. But these are not the real turtle ants.
Being arboreal they live and nest in trees side by side with other Arboreal ants like the #Tetraponera , Crematogaster, etc. In this video we can see the interaction between the Cataulacus and Tetraponera in the wild as the two species battle for a piece of foraging ground.

(Note: Colour of the Cataulacus is originally black, but when we shot the footage under flash light, we were surprised to see the bluish tinge, though there was not much significant change in the colouration of the Tetraponera)
