In this video you will learn :
How to turn on the Eastern Forehand
How to Follow through on the Eastern Forehand
And why you should not be scared of Racquet head speed on the eastern Forehand
When it comes to the eastern grip forehand, there's a couple of things you need to understand. It's very important for you not to just have a straight back turn, many players think because it's an eastern grip they just need to have a flat turn. You actually, if you want to compete in modern day tennis you need to have a high turn with the elbow up so you have momentum forward, The same goes for the follow through, follow through cant just be easy, straightforward. You also need to have acceleration, close your wrist over the ball, so that you can have racquet head speed over the ball. Make very sure you swing your racket as fast as you can over the ball. When you have an eastern grip forehand, that doesn't mean you have to swing slow. You still need to have a fast follow through high elbow and proper modern swing to get away with it.
