"We were in arena and I heard a bang, I just ran for my life and they told us to calm down because it was a balloon."

"We heard the last record come on, people started streaming out and then next thing is, a big flash, didn't really hear the bang to start off with, big flash and then a woosh of air. I just thought what the hell's that? Then a smell in the air."
3. SOUNDBITE (English) Sophie Walker, attended attended concert with father and sister Abigail:
"The lights came up after the concert and everyone was getting up to leave and all of a sudden there was a big bang. All of the seats shook and everyone just started running, people were screaming and crying. And we just tried to look for the first exit point which we were right at the top so we had to go all the way around."

"Why? What's the point? I mean we brought our children out for a day out thinking we'll have a really good concert, they'll remember the concert but probably for the wrong reasons. Innocent people."
STORYLINE:
WITNESSES DESCRIBE SCENE AT ARIANA GRANDE CONCERT AFTER BLAST
Teenagers who were attending the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester when a bomb went off and killed 19 people have spoken of their upset and panic when the explosion happened.
Charlotte Pinder was at the concert and said she "ran for her life" after hearing a loud bang.
One father who was attending with his daughters Sophie and Abigail, spoke of his disbelief.
"Why? What's the point? I mean we brought our children out for a day out thinking we'll have a really good concert, they'll remember the concert but probably for the wrong reasons. Innocent people."
More than 50 other people were injured in the blast on Monday (22 May) evening which police are treating as a "potential terror attack."
