Just a joy to hear this Barney Kessel Archtop played by a professional. Huge thanks to super-talented jazz guitarist Emily Roberts for this. Faultless progression, and really brings out the warmth of the guitar. Wonderful! Check out more of Emily's videos here: [ Ссылка ]
Emily's playing a 1969 Barney Kessel Regular in a jaw-dropping cherry sunburst. If you haven't heard of Barney Kessel, you'll definitely have heard him without knowing it. More than 50 albums in his own name or in collaboration. The big names he worked with - Artie Shaw, Charlie Parker, Oscar Peterson, Chet Baker, Billie Holliday, Elvis Presley, The Beach Boys (on "Pet Sounds"), even The Monkees (on "I'm A Believer"), to name only a few. The A-list session band - part of The Wrecking Crew, that super-talented (and uncredited) powerhouse behind so many hits in the 1960s. The films - Some Like It Hot, Cool Hand Luke, The Cincinnati Kid, The Stripper, and many others (again, all uncredited!). No wonder he got his own signature model!
