On Friday, June 19, 2020, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Intl. WeLoveU Foundation and TOVA Community Health will be hosting a virtual forum in honor of World Sickle Cell Day to raise awareness about sickle cell disease (SCD) and discuss ways to support the cause. Virtual panelists Associate Professor of Psychiatry at John Hopkins University and Sickle Cell Pain Expert—C. Patrick Carroll, MD—and Director of the Sickle Cell Center & Professor Pediatrics at University of Illinois at Chicago— Lewis Hsu, MD, PhD—will be sharing their expertise on SCD and answering questions during the Q&A session. Additional panelists will also discuss their personal experiences with having SCD.
