PTSD affects millions of Americans, including 20% of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans and up to 30% of first responders. Despite this, available treatment is limited, resulting in long-term suffering and, in many cases, suicide. But a new set of trials using MDMA-assisted therapy has achieved remarkable results.
VICE’s Ben Anderson, who has been covering conflict for almost two decades and was diagnosed himself over a year ago, decided to try the treatment himself.
