Karen demonstrates how to sharpen and clean your hedge shears. Karen's neighbours garden shears were sticky, blunt and difficult to use. After cleaning and sharpening, the shears are now working smoothly with sharp blades. Clean and sharpen your garden tools in just minutes!
Instructions:
First Karen cleans the garden shears using the WD-40, a flat file and fine grade steel wool to remove all the gunky, gummed up sticky stuff attached to the hedge shears, then she shows how to safely sharpen both sides of the blade.
You will need:
- Sharpener [ [ Ссылка ] ]
- Steel wool, fine grade 0
- Flat file
- WD-40, CRC or similar
- An old cloth
I recommend light mineral based machine oil to oil the blades, such as sewing machine oil. I don't recommend using synthetic oil as it is derived from chemicals and may have additives in it.
Compliments to the video skills of my neighbour who created this video.
