Princess Michael of Kent has been unwell for weeks and is suffering 'extreme fatigue and terrible fevers' after being diagnosed with Covid, it has been reported.  The royal, who is married to the Queen's cousin and lives at Kensington Palace a few doors up from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their children, is self-isolating with her husband.   A spokesman for the royal told the Sun : "Princess Michael of Kent’s housekeeper fell ill three weeks ago and HRH was immediately tested and was found to be positive for Covid.  "She and her husband Prince Michael have remained in isolation at Kensington Palace ever since.  "Prince Michael did not test positive."  A source close to the couple told the newspaper that she's been suffering symptoms including extreme fatigue and has terrible fevers.  Princes Charles and William both tested positive for Covid, and while the Prince of Wales only suffered mild symptoms his son was "left unable to breathe".  The Duke of Cambridge followed the government guidelines by self isolating at home but was said to have been "hit pretty hard by the virus".  He was treated by palace doctors but kept his diagnosis secret because he did not want to cause alarm, reports said.  Prince William reportedly did not want to worry people, following news of his dad's diagnosis - as well as Boris Johnson's.   A source told the Sun : "William was hit pretty hard by the virus - it really knocked him for six.  "At one stage he was struggling to breathe, so obviously everyone around him was pretty panicked." Sign up to our newsletter here.  Prince William is believed to have suffered from Covid-19 days after his dad Prince Charles also battled the virus.    He is said to have still managed to do 14 telephone and video call engagements during April.  A source said he was determined to carry out his engagements.   Princess Michael came under fire in 2017 when she wore a blackamoor brooch to the royal family's tradition Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace.  Blackamoor is a style of Italian decorative art dating back to the end of the Middle ages and typically displays images of African men wearing head coverings and jewels to contrast with their skin colour.  They are often depicted as servants and symbolised the subjugation of the Moors - a term describing the Muslims of medieval Spain or anyone of Arab or African descent.  The image is now rightfully regarded as racially and culturally offensive.  She later apologised, saying she was "very sorry and distressed that it has caused offence".   In their book Finding Freedom, journalists Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand claim that Meghan Markle felt Princess Michael had "sent her a message" with her choice of brooch.
