Meet Professor Luc Soete, Dean of the Brussels School of Governance (BSoG), VUB who, at SME Assembly 2022, will be delivering this year’s lecture.
An internationally acclaimed economist, Dr. Soete has written numerous book chapters, and articles. He has also received numerous awards, including a Maastricht School of Management Honorary Fellow Award (2002); Commandeur in de Kroonorde (2007); and a Doctor Honoris Causa from the University of Ghent (2010).
Dr. Soete’s research focuses on innovation and technology and policy and measurement-related issues surrounding both.
In addition to his work in academia, Dr. Soete is a member of the European Commission’s Economic and Social Impact of Research (ESIR) expert group and a co-chair of the Scientific Committee of the Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC).
