The 1911 is possibly my favorite pistol and my experience has taught me that Springfield Armory makes very high quality 1911s at price points all across the board. In this video, I compare the Defend Your Legacy Series Mil-Spec 1911 to the TRP: Tactical Response Pistol. Basically, their lowest price 1911 versus a top-of-the-line gun with all the bells and whistles. Which 1911 is right for you? What features are important to you? How much are you willing to spend? The Mil-Spec is a lot of gun for around $700. The TRP costs more than twice that, but comes will all the modern features that you could ask for. Either way, you can't go wrong with a well-made 1911!
