The Soundslice FX This Is A Bad Idea takes an objectively great idea, putting two FF-style fuzz circuits in one box, and takes it straight to crazytown by making the circuits stackable. Having two fuzz factories in one is handy, as you can set one side for fat, classic germanium fuzz tones, while setting the other one for total amp meltdown, but making them stackable is truly the work of a lunatic. That said, This Is A Bad Idea is actually an amazing idea, as I think this guitar and bass demo proves. First I employ it in a noise rock band context on aluminum-neck jazzmaster and bass VI, then I dig into the controls to give you an idea of how this bonkers-ass sonic experiment might be used and controlled in the real world. Surrender to the chaos.
