Have organ will travel! As many of you are aware, DTOS sponsors the installation of the Allen model R311 digital theatre organ at Miller
Park for Brewers Baseball, and UWM Panther Arena for Admirals Hockey. However, this weekend, the Allen will make its first appearance in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin at the Geneva Theater, under the hands of Lake Geneva native Zach Frame for a concert featuring Laurel and Hardy’s 1929 silent comedy “Double Whoopee.” The organ has been installed at the Geneva Theater, and both it and Zach are ready to offer you an evening of laughs and great music!
Join us this Saturday, February 22 at 9pm; or Sunday the 23rd at 2pm! Admission is free, however we are suggesting a $10 donation to benefit the restoration and installation of our 1925 Wurlitzer Style H theatre pipe organ, for permanent use at the Geneva. Work is progressing well, but we need your help to make this event and the installation of the Wurlitzer a success! Looking forward to seeing you this weekend!
The DTOS Allen R311 was given by the Lorenz family in memory of their father, Will Lorenz so that his love of the theatre organ may be shared with everyone. We are eternally grateful to the Lorenz family, and are delighted to be able to share it with all of you!
