Sounds registered using the StethoMe electronic stethoscope. Pathological sounds occurring in a recording have been identified and automatically classified by artificial intelligence algorithms - StethoMe AI.
Fine crackles are pathological lung auscultation sounds characteristic of bronchitis and pneumonia.
Fine crackles are non-continuous, transient sounds that appear during sudden opening or closing of the respiratory tract. They usually appear during inspirations, but in case of higher intensity they may occur during both inspiration and expirations. Fine crackles occur mainly in groups and are visible as a series of vertical lines on a spectrogram. This group of sounds includes also the sounds referred to as crepitation and other crackles that are not classified as coarse crackles. These sounds can be confused with the interference resulting from improper execution of recording.
StethoMe is a wireless stethoscope working together with a dedicated app and the certified medical system intended for sound analysis - StethoMe AI - based on artificial intelligence algorithms. Thanks to AI algorithms, StethoMe immediately informs about any potential abnormal sounds in the respiratory system of children.
