The video shows the basics of how to set up and prepare the IKA C 1 calorimeter for use in a series of short film sequences. Simple and easily understandable sequences show all relevant steps and procedures for setting up the IKA C 1 calorimeter and making it ready for use – from the selection of a new measurement from the display menu and preparing test samples to starting the measurement process.
With the new C 1 calorimeter, IKA presents a new generation of combustion calorimeters and sets new standards for the future. In the C 1 calorimeter, IKA has successfully combined cutting-edge technology and a high level of automation in an exceptionally compact unit. The C 1 works with a static jacket. Temperature readings are analysed according to the classical Regnault-Pfaundler isoperibol method. Instead of the typical decomposition vessel with screw opening and closure, the C 1 calorimeter from IKA features a light and easily attachable combustion chamber. For users, this calorimeter represents a whole new era of convenience and ease of use. The C 1 is, for example, fully compliant with DIN 51900 and ISO 1928 standards and can be utilised in a wide range of industrial sectors, for instance for determining the calorific values of coal, wood, oil, fuels, kerosene, waste products (secondary fuels) and building materials, as well as animal feedstuffs and foods.
