The campaign for the legislative and presidential elections in Turkey is entering its final stretch.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan, 69 years old and 20 years in power along with his main opponent Kemal Kiliçdaroglu (who heads a coalition of six parties) are both hoping to win in the first round of elections on May 14.
One week before the presidential election, Erdogan gathered his supporters on the tarmac of the old Atatürk International Airport in Istanbul with at least 1.7 million people in attendance.
The Justice and Development Party (or AKP party) of the president called it "the meeting of the century".
