Kyle Brink, the executive producer of Dungeons and Dragons, is it it again with a new interview where he stated the Dark Sun settting was unlikely to ever return given that Wizards of the Coast feels the setting is 'too problematic'.
Maybe it's because I'm an old white dude, but I'm just not seeing how anything from the Dark Sun world can be considered offensive. There is mention of slavery and genocide along with cannibalism, and to me those are all amazing story elements to have in a post-apocalyptic world that is a dangerous place to adventure in.
Who exactly are the people who are being offended by imaginary elements from a sci-fi setting? I have yet to meet anyone who is actually offended, but yet I hear WoTC talking about it constantly, and championing their ongoing work to make D&D 'more inclusive'.
