Pasazieru vilciens is the sole inland public transport service provider that carries passengers in Latvia by rail.

Rail infrastructure in Latvia is operated by Latvijas dzelzcels a state-owned company with 100% of its shares owned by the state. The company’s shareholder is the Ministry of Transport. Pasazieru vilciens is a subsidiary of Latvijas dzelzcels.
