Ink Velvet is definitely more pigmented and more long lasting. Because of the staining power, it does suffer being drier than the airy one. The wand is smaller and it is harder to wipe off even with makeup oil. I recommend for anyone who prefer less touchups and those who love striking, full pigment lip looks.
The ink airy velvet variation is more subtle with the pigment and definitely more blendable. More of a lip mousse than a lip stain for me. It won’t stay as long on the lips and there is less color payoff. The lip wand is also bigger on this one. I recommend for subtle, natural looks.
