I decided to prepare my 3 kids with a fun Starry Night coloring activity (get yours here: [ Ссылка ] ) and short kid-friendly Van Gogh biography on YouTube (watch here: [ Ссылка ] ).

Since we're a 90 minute drive from NYC, I planned a nice afternoon for us to explore the area of the exhibit which is on Pier 36 i.e. Lower East Side aka Chinatown. We had Dim Sum at the Golden Unicorn, walked the crooked painted pedestrian Doyers Street, saw a 16 foot Buddha at Mahayana Buddhist Temple, and let them run around at Hester Street Playground. So fun!

Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit New York is the ORIGINAL Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit (not to be confused with Van Gogh the Immersive Experience NYC currently running on the West Side, Battery Park City). It's an amazing immersive art experience created by Massimiliano Siccardi with Hamilton's David Korins as Creative Director! It's the largest Van Gogh exhibit in the world!!!

​In a nutshell, it's 3 massive rooms of art installations like you've never seen before. 500,000 cubic feet of projections. 60,600 frames of video. They move, they surround you, the music hits deep in your SOUL! It was just breathtaking!!
