In 1962 Greece offered a different picture than it does today. King Paul I of Greece was the ruling monarch of the Hellenes (he died in 1964), Crown Prince Konstantine was still unmarried, and Prince Juan Carlos of Spain was engaged to his sister Princess Sophia of Greece. The Royal Palace of Athens and the Tatoi residence still enjoyed royal splendor.
