Increase the fuel economy of your Mercedes Bluetec Turbo Turbo Diesel in under 15 minutes!
In this video I show you how to replace the air filters on a Mercedes W164 OM642 Bluetec Turbo Diesel with the newer style of clip in air boxes. For the video I am using my 2011 Mercedes ML300 W164.
What you will see is that I originally purchased the wrong filters for this vehicle and had to purchase filters matching a W166, thus I believe this video is also applicable to the Mercedes W166 chassis as well, which commenced production in 2012. I used two new filters from a Ryco A1940 kit. Note, another aftermarket alternative is the WESFIL WA5382SET kit.

* 10mm Socket (Remove Firewall Panels)
* E10 Star Socket (Remove Air Boxes from Vehicle)
* T25 Security Bit (Remove Sensor from Right Hand Air Box)
* T30 Security Bit (Remove Filters from Air Boxes)
