The AFR Wide Band O2 Sensor ECU Signal is a wide band style O2 sensor, used as a feedback of Oxygen content in the exhaust. This is a broad air fuel mixture sensor, which means that it senses a wide range of air fuel mixture ratios.
Seen here in this diagram, to the center is the actual A F R sensor, signified by the coil heater, the transistor and F E T symbols. The F E T signifies the reference cell. The center heater is activated by power and ground, with the ground normally controlled by the E C M, not seen .....
