A weapon comparison between R5 Sacrificial Sword vs R1 Primordial Jade Cutter for C6 Xingqiu. Both weapons were tested with 4pc Emblem of Severed Fate artifacts.
Conclusion:
While Jade Cutter's DMG numbers are 12~20% more than Sacrificial, getting to do E twice makes up the difference due to Xingqiu's broken E multipliers. As long as 3 out of the 4 total hits from E crits, it'll perform similarly to Jade Cutter as seen in Test 2 Side by Side.
Sacrificial is also easier to build. With ESoF + ER main stat, you barely need any ER substats to get to hit Xingqiu's ER req. For Jade Cutter, you're going to have to find 180~200 ER (including +20 from EoSF) from substats while balancing the CRIT ratio. If you manage to hit all the conditions though, Jade Cutter will be the better and more consistent choice.
So Jade Cutter an upgrade? Yes if you can the artifact substats for it but it's just a small negligible upgrade considering the artifact quality needed. But in instances where Xingqiu's ER requirements are lowered, Jade Cutter finds its niche that Sacrificial can't do. Examples of this are: running Xingqiu in Raiden teams, having another Hydro unit that can battery Xingqiu (Yelan/Mona) and double Electro teams with heavy energy regeneration.
DISCLAIMER: CRIT Rate Food was only used to get CRIT numbers for Sac Sword. No food was used for the Side by Side comparisons for accurate testing. To even out the playing field, hitting 200% ER was prioritized in choosing artifact pieces and then having CRIT DMG as close as possible.
