The second option is the Queen Mary Fringe Tiara. If it is chosen, Charlotte will be the fourth generation of Windsors to choose this piece of jewellery. Queen Elizabeth the Second, Princess Anne and Princess Beatrice were married in it. And perhaps the third option is Lover's Knot Tiara. Princess Diana appeared in it most often. So Charlotte could emphasise the connection with her grandmother, because although many people would expect to see Prince William's daughter in a Spencer tiara, it would probably be impossible - even technically Charlotte Windsor, not Spencer. The jewellery in which Diana was married today belongs to her brother Charles Spencer, who inherited it along with the family estate and other valuables of the ancient aristocratic family.
