Navajo Historian, Wally Brown, teaches about a time when around 1 million Diné died. The history of this is misunderstood today.
Today many Diné are terrified of dead bodies and the stories that were told about that time in history. But when properly understood, people will realize they don’t need to be afraid of that time period.
Wally is still in isolation with his wife Bonnie. They are in good spirits, but like us all ready to get this behind us. The Navajo Nation is still a hotspot with more cases everyday. And the sad news that goes with it. Remember the Diné in your thoughts and prayers and do what you can to help those around you.
