Reconstruction of the world-famous Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France is progressing fast enough to allow its reopening at the end of next year.
The cathedral's iconic spire, which collapsed in the fire, will reappear above the monument this year.
The reopening time is in line with the goal set by President Emmanuel Macron, but not in time for the Olympic Games scheduled for the summer of 2024.
An exhibit paying tribute to hundreds of artisans working on the reconstruction opened in Paris, which notably features some remains from the fire and works of art from the cathedral.
Although the cathedral will be open to the public, some renovation works will continue in 2025.
