The UCSF Academic Senate's Committee on Sustainability presents a discussion focusing on the anticipated impact of the changing climate on the mental health of our communities, and how the distribution of this impact is inequitable. This discussion provides direct tools for patient care and considers broader institutional responses to the climate crisis. This discussion was organized by Dr. Katherine Brooks, MD, Assistant Professor from the Department of Medicine and Dr. Andrea Olmos, MD, Assistant Clinical Professor from the Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care with guest speakers Dr. Lisa Fortuna, MD, MPH, M.Div, Associate Professor and Vice Chair, from the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Chief of Psychiatry at Zuckerberg San Francisco General, and Dr. Robin Cooper, MD, Associate Clinical Professor from the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Co-Founder and Steering Committee, Climate Psychiatry Alliance.
