One of the things we prepare for Holy Week is puto-sikwate. Paired with ripe Cebu mangoes, you can never go wrong!
Ingredients:
2 cups glutinous rice (malagkit)
200 ml coconut milk
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp ginger (or a thumb of ginger)
Sikwate (depending on how strong you want it):
2.5 cups water
5 tableya
3 tbsp brown sugar or muscovado
