How diesel twin turbos and variable twin turbochargers work. Variable twin turbos have two different size turbochargers, one to provide boost at low RPM, and another, larger turbo, to provide boost at higher RPM. As the revs build, bypass valves open up allowing for the larger turbo to do more of the work.
