It's a Japanese pilaf-type rice dish. Fluffy rice is cooked with a flavourful stock and some seasonal ingredients. It can be a meal on its own.
* Ingredients (Serves 2–3)*
3-4 dried shiitake mushrooms
300g Japanese rice
1 medium carrot
10 green beans
200g veggie-meat
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons mirin (sweet cooking rice wine)
2 tablespoons sake
1/4 teaspoonn salt + some
1 teaspoon kombu dashi powder (optional)
