The mission of the Eastern Ohio Grazing Council is to promote the conservation of our soil and water by growing and grazing forages. Our pasture walks and meetings present new and old ideas for review, discussion, and possible implementation.
The Eastern Ohio Grazing Council (EOGC) works in cooperation with Carroll, Columbiana, Harrison, Jefferson, Stark, & Tuscarawas Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) and Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) staff to plan pasture walks and workshops. The EOGC hosts a pasture walk on the 4th Thursday of each month April through October. These pasture walks are rotated between counties. In January, February, and March the EOGC holds winter grazing workshops in the Carrollton area.
