The Alec Baldwin trial started Wednesday morning with an opening statement from prosecutor Erlinda Johnson. After she ripped Baldwin for "playing make believe," she said she believes Baldwin lied about not pulling the trigger of the gun used to kill “Rust” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Johnson continued to say that the gun didn’t malfunction on its own, claiming the trigger had to be pulled. The prop gun was destroyed during FBI evidence testing.
