potassium permanganate, oxygen gas and
water vapour are formed, according to the
Reaction.
reaction:
2 KMnO4 + H202 → 2 MnO2 + 2 02 + 2 KOH
This reaction is spontaneous, and
exothermic. It is an example of a redox
reaction.
