In this video I will show you how to reset the Ridgid 18v Max Output Lithium battery when you get the 4 blinking lights. I made this video about a year ago and have not had any issues with the battery pack since then. I wanted to make sure this quick fix would work long term before uploading the video. I use it daily to power my Ridgid spotlight when I walk my dog. I believe the issue I had was from my battery over heating and going into protective mode (a safety feature). I knew the battery was still fairly new and assumed the only reason it over heated was because I had been using it extensively in the 90° sunshine. This fix can be done on other tool brand batteries, some will actually say reset or rst near 1 pad and ground or gnd near the other pad where you need to jump the connection. This fix is to reset your battery and get it out of the protective mode . It may not work for you if your battery pack has bad cells or another problem that can't be fixed with a reset. While you have the case open you can also clean the board with some compressed air or electronic cleaner and a soft bristle toothbrush. I hope this works for you, thanks for watching.
