Originally written by Paul Hudson (a.k.a. H.R.), Earl Hudson and David Byers and recorded by Human Rights on their album I Luv in 1991, "Who's Got the Herb" was selected by Omaha native 311as their contribution to Hempilation: Freedom Is NORML in 1995.
The Hudson brothers performed in both the hardcore band Bad Brains and the reggae group Human Rights.
"Who's Got the Herb" was recorded at NRG Studios in Los Angles, produced by Ron Saint Germain and 311 and recorded and mixed by Saint Germain and Scott Ralston.
