Link Aggregation (LACP) allows you to combine multiple ethernet ports into a single faster port! This provides both failover support as well as a faster connection when you have multiple users. For this tutorial, I am using a Netgear smart managed switch combined with the Synology DS1819+ which has 4 gigabit ethernet ports.
