When we set out to create our new binding collection, we knew that we wanted to put mother nature first. To do this, we prioritized our time, energy, and resources into developing a product that not only performs best in class, but has a smaller environmental impact than a traditional snowboard binding.
Using Eco-Conscious and recycled materials in-place of the plastics and EVA that is traditionally used to manufacture highbacks, ankle straps, toe straps, ratchets, and more.
In our manufacturing process, more than 40% of our energy is solar-powered.
All packaging is FSC certified, meaning 100% cardboard and recycled paper instead of plastics.
When all of this is taken into consideration, these processes have reduced the footprint of our binding by ~40%
* More than 40% of our manufacturing energy is solar-powered.
* New bindings use 40% Bio-based material by volume and 25% by weight.
* New ankle and toe straps have seen a 70% reduction in CO2 emissions per kg material from traditional TPU straps.
* New Highbacks have seen a 40% reduction in CO2 emissions per kg material from traditional nylon highbacks.
* New shockpads have seen a 90% reduction in CO2 emissions per kg material from traditional EVA shockpads.
* 100% recyclable packaging
* 95% FSC certified recycled material used in packaging.
It’s not perfect, but it’s a click in the right direction.
One step closer to a cleaner connection.
