Fruits and vegetables are the power houses of whole lot of nutrients like about 200 phytonutrients, more than 2000 antioxidants lots of minerals and vitamins and other and other trace nutrients. So fruits as such do not contain as much proteins. We can depend on fruits for protein content. However fruits like guava, mulberry, raspberry, apricots and pomegranate have little amount of protein, 1 gram per 100 grams. But they are not good sources of protein. However some of the vegetables like all kinds of beans, peas, drumsticks they are all very good sources of protein. Drumsticks is actually called chicken of vegetarians because they have highest protein content in the vegetarian food. If you are not eating vegetables you are missing lot of vegetables which your body needs. So please eat all vegetables, especially 6 to 7 raw vegetables as salads for the nutrient need of your body.
