In this video Dan discuss a few things he encountered on the PCT (his first thru-hike) that either caught him off guard or that he wished he would've have been a little better prepared for: early season snow, fall snowstorms, and fire closures.
Even though 2017 was a bit of exceptional year for all of these, Dan feels like any thru-hiker on the PCT is likely enough to encounter them. We hope the info here is helpful to anyone planning a thru-hike!
