TTC = Toronto Transit Commission
This is the elevator serving The South end of The Northbound Platform at The Bloor-Yonge TTC Subway Station in Downtown Toronto.
This was originally a Northern Elevator with Epco Fixtures but it was modernized by a Genaric Company with Dewhurst US85EN Fixtures. This one has a different design compared to the other TTC Subway Station Elevators, This one has the Control Panel on the front panel and it has solid metal walls & An Egg Crate Ceiling. This elevator runs good however I found it to be a bit dark. This elevator connects The Northbound Platform (Level 3) & The South End Concourse (Level 2). There is another elevator thats exactly like this on the Southbound Platform however I didn't bother filming it. This elevator is not original to this station, Bloor-Yonge Station opened in 1954 for The Yonge-University-Spadina Line (Line 1) and was expanded in 1966 for The Bloor-Danforth Line (Line 2), This elevator was installed in 1996 and was one of the First TTC Subway Stations to have elevators installed as part of The TTC's Easier Access Program.
