Connecting a mic directly to your camera?
Here's how to get great sounding audio even if you have a cheap mic!
In this video I'll show you how to connect a mic to either a mirrorless camera or a DSLR using a Zoom H6.
This works with any camera, so if you've GH5 a Sony A6600 / A6400 or a Canon 2000D or any camera that shoots video this is what you need to do to make a huge difference to the quality of your audio.
This video shows just how easy it is to connect a Zoom H6 to a GH5 or any of the commonly used cameras to get great sounding audio.
I cover connecting the Zoom H6 to the camera ( GH5 in this case, but works with any DSLR or Mirrorless camera ).
I show how to connect the mic to the Zoom H6.
I detail how to set the line out level on the Zoom H6 so you don't need an attenuation cable.
I cover how to set up the camera to get the best audio from the Zoom H6.
And we finish off with a test to compare the cheap Lav mic running direct to camera via the Zoom H6 against a $1000 shotgun mic.
