Compared to Blu-Ray, the video is 4:3 so it's not cropped to 16:9 and features the almost full version of Smooth Criminal. In the Blu-Ray the right and left sides are complete, in fact it can be seen that compared to the 4:3 version some pixels are missing. So in summary, neither the 16:9 Blu-Ray nor the 4:3 DVD have the actual full version of Smooth Criminal, but each has its own particularities.
Blu-Ray also features much higher color contrast and a higher number of pixels which leads to slightly more detail in the picture than DVD.
