There are many patients who had chronic cystitis. Most of them had previous cystoscopies which were reported to be NORMAL. So they can not understand why are they still having the chronic cystitis symptoms. I still recommend them to have an other cystoscopy in our clinic. We specially look for abnormal tissue formation in the entrance of bladder.
Trigonitis or leukoplakia is not well understood in modern urology practice. Even if they recognise leukoplakia or trigonitis, there is not a defined treatment such as fulguration of these tissues for the treatment of UTI.
