Don’t start with a new colour at the same place where you ended the last round. Instead, cut the yarn, pull it through the last chain stitch and start the next colour on the opposite side of the square from where you ended your previous round. This way, you can crochet around the tails and save a lot of time on sewing loose ends after completing the square.
