Pro-Palestine protests threaten to overshadow Kamala Harris’ presidential nomination at Democratic National Convention in Chicago. On August 18, a crowd of roughly 1,000 pro-Palestinian protesters marched through downtown Chicago, chanting "Shut down the DNC”. The protests were held a day ahead of the Democratic National Convention on August 19 and the organisers said the number could swell to over 100,000. The protesters and delegates want Harris, who is set to be formally nominated for the presidential elections, to clarify her stand on the Israel-Gaza war. While some protesters called Harris “Killer Kamala,” some pro-Palestinian activists say Harris has been more sympathetic to Gazans than Biden has been.
